Xray has won the Atlassian Marketplace Partner of the Year 2026: Software Collection Apps, recognizing its continued contribution to the Atlassian Marketplace and its role in supporting software teams with native test management inside Jira.
The award was announced in Anaheim during Atlassian Team ’26, as part of the Atlassian Marketplace Partner Awards celebrations recognizing outstanding partners across the Atlassian ecosystem.
Recognized for solving a core DevOps challenge
At the heart of Xray's value is a straightforward proposition: testing should not be fragmented across disparate tools. By managing requirements, test cases, executions, and defects as native Jira entities, teams gain end-to-end traceability, reduce context switching, and keep testing aligned with development and release workflows.
Today, more than 10 million users manage over 100 million test cases monthly across 10,000+ organizations in 135 countries, reflecting how deeply teams have embedded quality assurance into their Atlassian workflows.
Customer impact at scale
This award reflects the real-world outcomes Xray enables across industries. BMW Group standardized Xray at the center of its DevOps toolchain, supporting 170,000+ users and millions of test cases. By replacing legacy ALM tools, BMW achieved a fully integrated Agile toolchain with the traceability and scalability required across thousands of projects.
Other organizations have seen equally significant results. SBK, in healthcare, achieved 35% faster test execution, a 50% reduction in manual testing effort, and 100% requirements-to-test traceability. ICE InsureTech delivered 10 major enterprise implementations over six years with zero failures, maintaining full audit-ready traceability across FCA, GDPR, and ISO 27001 requirements.
What Xray shipped in 2025
2025 was a strong year for product investment. Xray introduced AI Test Script Generation to convert manual and Gherkin tests into automation-ready scripts, and AI-enhanced Test Case Design to generate structured scenarios from requirements, improving coverage and surfacing gaps earlier.
On visibility and reporting, enhanced traceability features give teams real-time insight across requirements, test executions, and defects inside Jira, so they can assess release readiness without leaving their workflows. Event-based JQL and reporting enable dynamic tracking of test activity throughout sprints, giving teams continuous visibility into quality signals as work progresses.
Xray also introduced Atlassian Rovo integration, enabling natural language queries across Jira and Xray-related data so teams can find test artifacts, understand coverage, and generate documentation without manual search or complex queries. Improved Cloud migration capabilities round out the year, supporting large-scale environments with faster, more reliable transitions that preserve data integrity.
A milestone built on collaboration
This recognition means a lot to the teams across product, engineering, support, customer success, sales, marketing, and partnerships who work every day to improve the Xray experience. It's also a reflection of the customers and partners who trust Xray as part of their quality strategy and whose feedback directly shapes where the product goes next.
Thank you to our customers, partners, and the wider Atlassian community for being part of this journey. We're excited to keep building.
